How to weave a paracord dog leash. Step-by-step instructions with a photo
Once again looking through the sites with various accessories for dogs, I realized that I could not find a leash that would suit me in all respects. I wanted to find the same color, size and strength.
So the idea came up to make the leash myself. After scrolling through many sites, watching videos with various information, I settled on a paracord leash. All he needs is the cord itself, the carabiner and a little time.
The paracord cord is strong enough to hold even a large dog, while being lightweight. It is also impossible for mold to form on it, such a cord does not rot.
In my work, I used cobra weaving. This is a fairly easy weave; there are many descriptions of it on the Internet.
For the leash, I took a 21 meter cord. Of these, 1.5 meters were spent on the core - the threads around which weaving is done, and 9.5 meters each for the working cords. Working threads are best done with a margin.
We attach the paracord to the carabiner with a loop.
We start weaving with the chosen method and, before reaching the end of the core, a few centimeters, we make a handle for the leash. To do this, select a convenient handle size and bend it.
Next, continue to weave with the remaining cords to the end.
When the thread ends, it is enough to burn the ends and connect to each other. They are now securely fastened.
After completing all the steps, I received a solid 1.3 meter leader in my chosen color.
Have a nice walks!
