Subtleties of masonry and insulation of the interfloor row of walls made of aerated concrete. Laying at the level of floor slabs
The floor slabs have been laid. To continue the erection of the walls, it is necessary to make masonry around the slabs and in the places of support of the slabs, where the masonry will consist of thinner blocks, to lay XPS insulation.
The side wall from the slabs is free - there the masonry continued from the same blocks with a width of 400 mm. It is difficult to carry the laying down - holding the block, you need to control yourself from falling, and the weight of the block is about 40 kg. You can't apply glue with a carriage - he worked carefully with a spatula. First, he laid the block without glue, then he turned it over (along the masonry), applied glue and put it back in place.
Along the wall in the places where the plates are supported - blocks 200 mm wide. And an XPS will be laid between them and the slabs. The laying began, like any row, with setting corner blocks and pulling on a double mooring thread. One at the corners of the row - to control the blockage and the second (in the middle of the blocks in the masonry) - to control the straightness of the vertical plane. Plus level control of the block position in the horizon.
My armopoyas is smoothed exactly as much as possible. Therefore, this row led to mineral glue, and not to a solution, like many. Saving time and less labor (mixing and lifting the mortar).
Everything you need for masonry is in a plastic box. I immediately lift everything up before work, so as not to go down and not waste time (it happens that I forgot this, then I need something else).
As before, I foam the vertical seams with glue foam. Then he cut off the excess and stuffed it into the locks between the blocks and into the voids of the slabs. By the way, before laying, the side holes in the slabs must be filled with scraps of aerated concrete and foamed so that when pouring the joints between the masonry and the slabs, the solution does not flow into the voids inside the slabs. After laying this interfloor row - its insulation:
I measured the sheets in place, cut off with an ordinary clerical knife and fixed them on glue-foam. XPS remains from the insulation of window and door lintels. I bought in addition only one sheet of Penopex 50 mm. In total, it took me two packages of Penoplex + 1 sheet for all the jumpers, armopoyas and the interfloor row.
Working at height is much more enjoyable. Stunning views of the forest and our village opened up.
As you can see, my project is calculated to the nearest centimeter. Between the insulation and the slabs there is a gap formed by the inclination of the edges of the slabs (the lower edge of the slab abuts against the XPS). The mortar for filling the joints between the slabs and the walls needs a minimum. But the filling is still far away. The next stage is anchoring the floor slabs (tightening them with reinforcement).
