An experienced florist taught me how to feed home flowers with toothpaste
There are many different indoor flowers in my house. In order for them to fully develop, bloom and delight me, undoubtedly, I take care of them. Since I have been doing this for a long time, I know and have tried many different fertilizer recipes for them.
But once at a flower show I met an experienced florist who surprised me a lot. He told me one secret about what else you can treat houseplants. This is the first time I heard about this. But I decided to try. So, we are talking about... ..toothpaste.
It turns out that this method is not new at all, it has been known for a long time. We choose the most common, inexpensive, non-whitening toothpaste. Then we squeeze out the fourth part of the tube into warm water in the amount of one liter.
We begin to mix very well. So much so that not a single small lump remains. That's it - the fertilizer is ready. We just water them flowers. It is especially suitable for flowering plants.
The right time for such dressings is summer and spring. However, first you need to study the information on a specific plant, if it does not like acidic soil, such as azalea, gardenia, then this tool cannot be used.
You can pour about 10 ml on one plant, a little more or a little less. It depends on the size of the plant itself, on the size of the pot in which it grows.
As everyone knows, toothpaste contains calcium and fluoride, which are beneficial for plants. Also, such feeding is a prevention against fungal diseases and the appearance of mold.
In addition to the paste, you can prepare a solution with tooth powder. Pour two tablespoons of tooth powder into half a glass of warm water, 2 - wood ash (only without large lumps, it is better to sift beforehand) and 1 spoon of copper sulfate.
Stir and water. Such an interesting remedy will help great if the roots begin to rot. Only after watering it is necessary not to water the plant with water for a week.
Thanks to toothpaste, indoor flowers begin to grow faster, become more magnificent and brighter. There are no harmful chemical compounds in the paste, because it is developed for teeth, so it is safe.
At first, I was a little afraid to use such fertilizer. This is very unusual. But, fortunately, my flowers liked it, the flowers became larger, more magnificent. By the way, later I increased the amount of toothpaste in the solution, added not one fourth, but half of the tube.
Of course, for these purposes, I bought cheap and domestic production. I decided to take turns making the composition - either more pasta, then less. The flowers definitely liked it.
