Warm garage 7 * 9 from homemade panels: what I spent 320 thousand and 25 days

Construction is an exciting procedure. It's one thing to hire a professional team, it's another to do everything yourself. Here you are an architect, a welder, a concrete worker, a bricklayer, and even an installer - as they say, five in one. Garage without project

Greetings to FORUMHOUSE readers! I decided to share the story of the construction of my garage. As usual, any building begins with the choice of location and layout. I have enough space near the house, and I chose the layout of the building in the form of a box for two gates. I chose the dimensions by eye so that the car could enter and there was a lot of free space. You could even say - a lot of space!

How was the construction

First of all, I leveled the site, poured 3 KamAZ of sand and gravel mixture. Then he laid down the communications so that later he would not have to hammer the concrete. The communications have 380 volt electricity, ventilation (2 sewer pipes 110 mm each) and 2 insulated pipes for heating.

A slipway for bodywork was also laid in the slab foundation. As you can imagine, I made such a garage not only for the sake of my car, I plan to use the building as a car repair shop.

I chose the insulated base for a reason. I always wanted to have a warm garage, so I used just this type of foundation, where a 40 mm thick expanded polypropylene extrusion was laid under the slab. The walls and roof are made of the same insulation, there is no sound insulation from it, but the material is not afraid of changes in temperature and moisture.

The structure of the garage itself is a metal frame made of a profiled pipe 80 * 40 * 4 mm. He cooked with a semiautomatic device, it is hard for them to work, but he cooks perfectly. Then I sewed up the frame with a galvanized roll of 0.5 mm. By the way, the top sheet is whole, 9 meters long. It was very inconvenient to fix it.

After that, he glued the polystyrene foam plates to the galvanizing with a special two-component glue for SIP panels and sewn up the C21A roofing from above. All this was packed from the outside in a metal profile.

How much did the construction cost

I spent about 25 days on this construction. He worked on weekends, sometimes in the evening after work. The size of the garage turned out to be 7 by 9 meters, the height at the rear was 2.75 m, and at the front, 3.45 m. The money spent was about 320 thousand rubles. All work was done by one person at 99.7%. But the case is not over yet, there is no gate. They ask about 100 thousand for the gate. rubles.
