"Never put aluminum corrugation on the chimney"

I changed the old column for a new one, earlier, it was allowed to use an aluminum corrugation to connect to the chimney, and now stainless steel pipes are strongly recommended.

Installation

The corrugation is easier to connect, does not require adjustment, fixed on the column, bent as it should and brought it into the chimney. Basically, it can also be found in stainless steel, aluminum is prone to burning out.

I tried on where the pipes would pass, made a mark with a margin for entering the bell. Used a tape measure to draw a line, it easily fits the circle, it remains only to circle the marker.

I cut everything to size with a grinder, removed the burrs from the inside with a file. I assembled the structure, adjusted it and fixed it on press washers so that it would not fall apart.

Sealing

For sockets, I wanted to use a special heat-resistant sealant, but it froze in a tube,

hence advice. If you do not need to seal many connections at once, then take in small tubes, otherwise it will be a pity to throw out unused material.

I used a special aluminum tape, which I wanted to make additional sealing, I had to use it as the main one.

I processed three joints, the remaining two, make it possible to remove the structure for inspection by the stove-maker.

Conclusion

The main thing is not to rush, and do not forget to take into account the distance before cutting to enter the pipe into the socket.
