How I dealt with plaque in the shower, and which method is most effective for me
My fiberglass shower tray has plaque stains, presumably from hard water, which I cannot remove. The shower is new, and I will tell you how to get rid of plaque in this article.
Getting rid of plaque in the shower
The most natural process is to use an acidic liquid such as white vinegar or lemon (half a cup of white vinegar and lemon juice is a good mixture). I did so:
• applied and rubbed the contaminated part to soften it;
• then filled it with warm water to remove any residues that might remain;
• and finally used the Cillit Bang Turbo Power Antinalet cleaner.
I gently wiped the walls of the shower stall with a product and washed it off after 15 minutes. This is a very good way to get rid of plaque. With these tips, you will always have your shower stall new. Remember, it is best to remove the stains when you start to see them and not let them grow because they eventually build up and we have to use more aggressive methods.
Before I applied the cleaner to the stains that were on the sides of the shower tub floor, I tested the cleaner on a small area on the side of the floor. This was done in order to make sure that it does not damage the surface or add any more stains.
Better safe than sorry, so the advice for caring for your shower is to avoid the accumulation of unnecessary water and moisture in the cracks of the shower. The moment you see that such dirt begins to rise, clean it up as soon as possible, because this process will be much less laborious. How do you deal with plaque?
