Why a village, not a city. More than 15 years have passed since my family and I decided to leave the city.
How to move from city to country. Moving stories, what difficulties we had to face. On the pros and cons of suburban life.
More than 15 years have passed since my family and I decided to leave the city. Times then were not the best for the townspeople, and a good house outside the city stood without an owner. So we arrived.
The house is located in a small village in the Vladimir region. Then the population was about twelve or thirteen thousand, now it is less. The main enterprise in the village is a factory that produced paper of the highest quality before the war. During the Great Patriotic War, the enterprise was retrained and began to produce military products. And today the majority of the village population works at the plant, so the enterprise is, so to speak, "city-forming".
What really attracted the village was the nature. A gorgeous river with clean water, a wonderful park, a forest nearby, where in the summer we collect a bunch of mushrooms and berries. Calmness, silence and clean, fresh air - that's what the city lacked. In recent years, this urban bustle has become particularly boring.
They hired me to work as a teacher at a local school right away. The salary is decent, and not everyone in the city has it. Of course, local shops, department stores and markets do not shine with a variety of goods, but everything you need is there. Although I trust local grandmothers with their products on the market more than any "Auchan", "Lent" and others.
Many are afraid to leave for villages and towns, I think that here they will die of boredom. Yes, there are not many entertainments (cinemas, shopping centers, clubs and bars) in the village, however, this is all unnecessary here. There are enough worries. A vegetable garden, a bathhouse, animals (we have chickens) - all this requires time that you spend on a specific result, and not on useless gatherings.
Children also have something to do. In summer, walking, swimming, football, bast shoes, hide and seek, and cycling. In winter, slides, sledges, skates and skis. The main thing is that the child is constantly outdoors with friends. In addition, children eat healthy, natural and healthy food. This is almost impossible in the city. To unleash the creative potential of the child in the village, there are an Out-of-School Work Center, a music school, a House of Culture, and various events are often held. There are several kindergartens for kids.
In short, living outside the city is real happiness. Now the townspeople are in constant haste and stress, in which all the beauty of life is lost. Living in a village or village, you begin to look at this world in a different way, to perceive life in a different way. Endless traffic jams, noise, smog and light no longer seem to be the norm. Being close to nature, I want to think more and more, I want to live.
