How I made a technical room under the porch of a house, stages of work, important nuances

When building the porch of my house, I independently developed its design. For me, such questions were in the first place.

First, the porch was a powerful structure that had to withstand heavy physical exertion during operation. Secondly, the site had a large area, which I wanted to make as functional as possible.

As a result, I decided to create a small room under the porch that would be used for technical purposes, for example, for storing garden tools.

The process of creating a storage room under the porch landing involved several stages:

• Initially, I did all the calculations, thanks to which I determined how many steps my porch will have, how much material will be needed to create the foundation and the main structure.

• I completed the markup, and then proceeded to create the foundation pit. As soon as the pit was ready, I poured a layer of rubble at the bottom, installed the reinforcement, tying it together by welding.
• The next step was the creation of the formwork, for which he used plywood, boards, and other wooden fragments. Since the design provided for a technical room, I created it in two stages.

• The first stage was the manufacture of the porch foundation and steps. In the prepared formwork, where I carried out the reinforcement in advance, I poured cement mortar, into which I added fine crushed stone.

• After the concrete was completely frozen, I proceeded to the second stage - the creation of the porch platform, above the technical room.

• To strengthen the strength of the structure, I made a frame from the channel, which was attached by welding to the basement floor.

• Concrete was poured into the prepared formwork and reinforced.
