When designing a new house, my husband immediately warned me that we would not have a fireplace with a live flame. I did not insist, since it is quite possible to sit by the fire in the gazebo outside, and the dirt and smoke from the fireplace in the house do not attract me at all. Although I really like the fireplace, and I managed to buy an imitation of the hearth from the showcase very inexpensively.

But the old armchair, in which it was so comfortable to sit for about 10 years, does not stand up to scrutiny. It urgently needs to be changed.

Of course, everyone remembers such chairs, they were in almost every home, cozy and soft. This was in my parents' house. But now it is no longer modern and it's time to get rid of such furniture.

Arriving at the furniture showroom to determine the fashion trends, we looked at a lot of armchairs. We needed something cozy in cherry red or red and brown. I needed to understand what I want. To do this, I usually try to visit expensive stores, where there is always exactly what I like. And after that, select a budget option in the same style.

The first chair that I liked was just cozy. In a rustic style, the color matched perfectly. But I would not buy this, because sitting in it, I realized that my hands are very uncomfortable, the armrests are completely non-functional.

A pleasant armchair with a pillow has a comfortable headrest, but with armrests - the same problem. The color is pleasant, dark powdery, fabric is very delicate to the touch. But the cost is 41 thousand rubles. This is simply perplexing, because the filler is polyurethane foam. If there was a spring block, this price could be explained.

We have already passed the stage when we want a "leather" sofa, including white and brown, and we will never buy such furniture again. But this chair is upholstered in natural leather and costs 109 thousand rubles. It is very comfortable and has original metal legs. But for this amount, I can easily furnish the entire living room, and not just buy an armchair.

Another leather option, you can sleep in such a chair, it is so ergonomic and thoughtful. Has an adjustable backrest. But it costs 130 thousand rubles. Maybe mahogany armrests? I do not know.

Finally, after admiring enough of what is sold in expensive stores, we headed to the furniture center, where they sell affordable models. And there, after going through many options, I found what I wanted.

Cherry armchair, with a comfortable high back, well-placed armrests and a pleasant fit. Exactly what we needed for our living room. We ordered another ottoman in the same fabric, which will be delivered to us together with the chair in 2 days.

I advise everyone to go to expensive furniture stores before buying furniture to see something new and interesting. But not many can afford to buy furniture there, so you have to look for what you need in stores of a completely different level for a long time.
