How to quickly and easily remove a pit from a fine plum or cherry. Homemade device from a plastic bottle.

It's time to harvest the fine plum (blackthorn). It is usually used to make different types of homework, such as preserves, jams, compotes.

But there is one unpleasant moment in the preparation of these dishes.

You need to get the bones from the plums. And this is not a whim.

The fact is that the bones contain a toxic substance, which eventually passes into the workpiece and can harm health.

Therefore, the bones need to be removed, but it is a pity to spend a lot of time and effort on this process.

And it is not necessary. It's quite possible facilitate and speed up the process removing the stone from the plum, if made a simple device with your own hands.

You can make a homemade device with little or no extra cost.

To make it, we need a regular plastic bottle with a volume of 1.5 liters.

Using scissors, cut the bottle in half. We make a blank from the bottom half of the bottle, as shown in the photo below.

Then, on both sides at the ends of the petals, we cut holes to the size of the neck of the bottle.

Then using a drill make a hole in the bottle cap.

We also take for the manufacture of the device stem from a 10 ml syringe.

Now we pre-assemble the device to take measurements.

To do this, we put on the lower part of the bottle with petals on the neck and fix it with a lid. We place the stem in the place of its future fastening and put a mark, retreating from the neck of the bottle 2.5 cm.

Then we disassemble the device, cut off and fix the stem with glue on the bottom of the bottle in the center.

Now from a piece of wire making a limiter, which will not allow the rod to deviate to the sides.

To do this, in the center of the wire we make a ring, which should be slightly wider in diameter than the rod and bend the wire, as shown in the photo below.

We wrap the ends of the wire around the neck of the bottle.

Then we insert the rod into the ring of the wire, bend the petals and wind up the stopper first, and then the neck.

Our device is ready to go. The principle of its operation is very simple.

We put our device on top of the glass. Then we place the plum on the lid, press on the inverted bottom of the bottle and the bone falls into the glass. At the same time, the berry itself remains intact.
