So the moment has come when we are ready to make the first stretch ceiling in the new house. On the second floor we have suspended ceilings made of plasterboard. They are already ready, we live there.

But on the first floor, the renovation in the kitchen-dining room has been completed, where we are "stretching" the first ceiling.

To be honest, first we turned to a company in our city that deals with ceilings. They asked for dimensions, photos of the room and sent us a commercial offer. Seeing him, my husband and I just laughed for a long time! Apparently, we were mistaken for oligarchs when they saw that we had a kitchen-dining room of 20 meters! Then we, without thinking twice, turned to a friend of our son, who is engaged in stretch ceilings. He already made a ceiling for us in the apartment, but there it is small, in a room 12 meters high and without lamps, only with a chandelier in the center. The ceiling suits us completely, has been living and well for 8 years, looks great.

He arrived, measured the room, discussed the issue with the light and set the installation time. On our ceiling there are heating pipes, a wire, a cable to the TV, that is, it looks very ugly.

The foreman arrived with all the equipment, a heat gun. The ceiling itself, made according to our dimensions, was in a bag on which everything was indicated exactly.

I don't like glossy ceilings, they make my head spin. Matte seems heavy to me. But satin is the very golden mean, which is always optimal.

First, he outlined the perimeter, then attached the mounting rails along it. The canvas, which has a special strip along the edge, will snap to them.

After that I started to install the lamps. They are suspended on special fasteners, which he brought in taking into account the lamps that we bought ourselves. I must say right away that lamps with bulbs cost us 4130 rubles. There are 15 of them.

When the light was already mounted, on 4 keys of switches in different groups, then it was time for the canvas itself. It was significantly smaller than the kitchen area, but when it was heated, the canvas stretched out and was fixed in the corners. The heat was incredible, I dropped in out of curiosity.

Then the ceiling was attached around the entire perimeter and covered with a corner plinth. It became neat and beautiful.

Now it's time for the lamps. Holes were cut out for them and the terminals were attached to the base of the bulbs. Here are the light bulbs waiting in the wings.

As a result, everything turned out neatly, beautifully, without any bells and whistles. The light turns on in 4 positions, two - above the dining area of ​​the dining room, one - above the kitchen and one - above the bar. Convenient and functional.

The ceiling cost us 12 thousand rubles. Plus lamps, only 16130 rubles.

For what we would have to pay 107 thousand, I don't know ...
