While prices fell, we decided to buy a storage water heater: what we finally chose

With the end of the summer cottage season, quite profitable promotions for storage water heaters appeared in many stores. This device has a tank inside it for heating water, which is brought to the desired temperature with the help of a shade. The water stays hot for a long time, like in a thermos. This is a great option for those who do not have central hot water, the family is small and only appears at home in the evening.

Often such water heaters are used by summer residents, who go to the village for the whole summer, and in the winter can take expensive equipment with them to the city.

We liked the water heaters of two brands - Edison and Hayer. They heat water in record time compared to other models, for example, Garanterm, which heats up longer. But at the same time, there is an economical mode so as not to waste electricity or gas.

Hayer has overpressure, dry heat and overheating protection. In such cases, the device simply does not turn on.

The inside of the tank is covered with enamel, which excludes corrosion and rust in water. I don't like stainless steel tanks, I think that too much metal gets into the water anyway. Therefore, an enamelled tank is a huge advantage.

I liked the simple electronic control on the touch panel, everything is clear and accessible. The keypads are not as convenient, although they are probably more reliable, but I wanted a touchscreen.

In design, Edisson loses somewhat, because its tanks are more "pot-bellied", take up more space. I wanted it flat, so that it did not stand out much against the background of the wall, but at the same time it would be roomy enough.

As a result, we nevertheless decided to take Hayer, although he, of course, is much more expensive than Edison. But taking into account the action, it turned out fine. Now we will not have a problem with hot water in the summer, even in the absence of cold water, because the tank is large enough.
