Lenten pies with apples: pies according to this recipe are very soft and fragrant
To make lean pies with apples, you need simple products that every housewife has. We will need:
fresh apples - 2 kg;
dry yeast - one tablespoon;
sugar - 300 grams;
salt - a pinch;
sunflower oil - a glass;
flour - about 1 kilogram;
cinnamon (optional) - 2 teaspoons;
lemon juice (optional) - 3 teaspoons;
boiled warm water - 1 liter;
vanilla sugar - half a teaspoon.
Step 1. Knead soft yeast dough, adding sunflower oil and vanilla sugar to it. Let the dough come up, then crush it and let it come up again.
Step 2. While the dough is coming up, prepare the filling for the pies. Peel the apples and remove the seeds. We cut apples into small squares. If the apples are very sour, add sugar to them.
Step 3. Preheat a frying pan and pour in some sunflower oil. Put the sliced apples in a frying pan and simmer them over high heat, stirring constantly (this way we remove excess moisture from the apples). In the process of frying, add lemon juice to the apples.
Step 4. Put the stewed apples in a bowl and add cinnamon to them, mix. Let the apples cool.
Step 5. Knead the dough and cut a small piece from it. Roll out a piece of dough and put the filling on it, join the edges of the dough and form a pie.
Step 6. On a baking sheet greased with sunflower oil, lay out the formed pies with the seam down. Grease the pies on top with vegetable oil. Let the pies rise for 15 minutes. We poison it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 50-60 minutes.
Step 7. Pull the pies out of the oven and immediately grease them with hot water (you can add a little lemon juice to the water) using a silicone brush. Soft and aromatic apple pies are ready!
