Homeowners can be fined for uncleared snow next to the site

The surrounding area needs to be looked after

Not so long ago, a resident of Cherepovets, the owner of a private house with a plot, was brought to administrative responsibility for uncut grass. True, the "lawn" has grown on the other side of the fence - five meters from the fence. The authorities considered that she had violated section 3.8 of the Cherepovets Territory Improvement Rules - "Procedure for maintaining adjacent territories." One of the subsections says that the owner of an individual residential building is obliged to take care of the adjacent territory - 5 meters from the boundaries of the land plot.

The owner did not know that the grass should be cut there too. High thickets (from 15 cm) were the reason for the protocol. In the Vologda Oblast, such violations are warned or even fined. For individuals - 500–2000 rubles. However, according to the owner of the land, she did not know that she had to mow the grass outside the fence. This was usually done by the services. But ignorance of the law does not absolve from responsibility. The case ended with a prescription, and the mistress cut down the grass.

And also the cleaning of the snow is included in the care of the adjacent territory.

What is the law?

Depending on the region, the amount of fines and the size of the surrounding area may vary. For example, in the Uspensky rural settlement, the owners of individual houses must take care of the accuracy around the perimeter within 15 meters from the boundaries of the site. The rules are established by the administrations of settlements, a list of necessary work, terms and conditions are drawn up. It is worth finding out how many meters from the fence you need to mow the grass and remove the snow so as not to bring you to an administrative fine.

In each region, such "nuances" are usually decided by local authorities. As a rule, this is a one and a half meter strip along the entire length of the fence. But it is not uncommon for the borders of the adjacent territory to be measured to the center line of the carriageway of two-sided streets. And if the building is one-sided, then remove even more. Sometimes it is 30 meters. If the winter is snowy, it is not at all easy to clear several tens of meters of snow.

You cannot use the adjacent territory. After all, these are common lands, the legal property of the municipality.
