The constructor-builder, who is now 85 years old, taught me this secret. The right film in the house
ABOUTThe constructor-builder who is now 85 years old gave me this! Unfortunately, the institutes do not talk about this either. Everything in mind! A dense film from the inside is needed so that warm air from the room does not enter the insulation. You need to glue all the seams on the ceiling and walls, as well as on the floor.
If air from the room enters the insulation, then when there is a difference with the outside temperature, condensation will form. And he will be there constantly when the temperature difference is 4-5 degrees or more. The greater the difference, the more moisture in the insulation. And in conclusion, if the insulation is wet, then it loses its properties as a heater! Those. in simple words, the wall or ceiling becomes NOT insulated. And accordingly, the cost of heating increases significantly.
When I am asked what is the cheapest type of heating, I answer: the cheapest heating is a good and properly insulated house!
Here a counter question will arise, but what about the moisture in the house!? In winter, when heated, the humidity is greatly reduced. The air becomes dry. Normal humidity should be between 60 and 70 percent. It is enough to ventilate for 2 minutes through a window or door 2-3 times a day. And everything will be all right.
Excess air goes out through the doors of the stove or fireplace. All the heat will go through the ventilation in the kitchen hood. But there is a solution here too! Therefore, the installation of expensive ventilation, even with a recuperator, will not meet your expectations.
I have a house frame inside decorated with good clapboard made of natural pine. At high humidity, the wood absorbs moisture, and when the air is dry, moisture again comes out of the tree, and therefore I have a stable humidity and a good microclimate in my house.
With drywall, such comfort will not work. And for those who have mold or fungus in the corners, this is not a problem in ventilation, but in the cracks of the outer walls, or rather, in a constant cold bridge! After all, mold does not form on the inner walls between rooms!!!
It is formed in corners where it is poorly insulated or cracks inside the wall structure.
Something like this! The constructor-builder, who is now 85 years old, taught me this! Unfortunately, the institutes do not talk about this either, because young people do not even understand the basic properties of a vapor barrier and are often confused about where it should be. Everything is very simple as a theorem, vapor barrier (thick film 0.2 micron) should be on the inside of the floor, walls, ceiling structure. There must be a breathable film on the outer sides of the floor, walls and ceiling !!!
Good luck everyone!
