The purchase of a sharpening machine is justified when you often sharpen something, clean it up, grind it down. For rare cases, a nozzle would be suitable, which would turn, for example, a drill into a kind of such a machine. And there is such a device:

A wide grinding wheel is unlikely to be fixed - only a narrow one. Or a sanding attachment with replaceable sanding blades. I would not use a cutting disc like a circular saw, it is dangerous. Or just for thin small planks, for sawing something miniature. Some craftsmen still make a miniature circular machine out of this device.

Of course, the easiest option is to simply fix the drill on a plywood base and make a stand to support the workpieces:

We also need a lathe chuck. There is no point in acquiring a full-fledged cartridge, because it will cost as much as half a miniature lathe. You can take an elongated nut with the desired thread diameter and cut these teeth in it with a grinder:

Mobile stand with which you can drill strictly vertical holes. Or at a certain angle (15, 30, 45 gr.). Convenient for assembling furniture. But if you fix the drill at a certain height, then the cutter can go through some areas in the wood mass. Although some would argue that the drill is not designed for lateral loads. But this stand is not a professional tool, for rare use with light loads it is suitable.

The maximum rack travel is 210 mm. Bore diameter for drill neck - 43 mm. There are similar stands on aliexpress and joom.com. But for some reason their cost is almost two times higher than in this online store
