How to attach hooks with suction cups and on an adhesive base so that they hang for a long time and do not peel off on the first day
Hello friends of my humble blog and first time visitors!
Many of my friends have hooks installed on screws or studs. Even in the kitchen, as they say, they tried to glue expensive plastic hooks with suction cups and adhesive backing, but they did not last more than a few hours.
I still have these glued hooks hanging. Not a month or even a year. I just fix them correctly, or rather glue them.
Firstly, there are high-quality suckers, which have a special device for removing air from under the material when fastening. You can buy these without words. But even cheap glue-based #fixed price adhere well if correct.
As my friends do: they bought it and immediately, peeling off the protective layer, they stick it to the wall or the surface of the cabinets. This is wrong, of course.
First you need to wipe and degrease the surface on which you will glue, aseptolin is best suited for this, which I always keep at home.
Then you need to heat the surface, preferably to a hot state. And I use a hairdryer for such purposes. Normal for hair.
And without letting it cool down, I immediately glue the suction cup. I press it very hard, hold it in a pressed state a little and leave it for at least a day without touching it. The adhesive base takes time for good adhesion to the surface.
Try this, even cheap hooks with glue suction cups hang for a long time and firmly. None of them came off.
