I keep the seeds in my business card holder, share the nuances
I saw this storage method on the forum. There the business card holder packed seeds in paper bags (you can flip through).
Appreciated right away!
From time to time, my seeds migrated from paper bags, that is, they partially spilled out. And the business card holder is a good retainer, it will press it properly, and will not go anywhere.
For myself, I modernized the idea. I will show you how and why you need it.
I got about 100 varieties of tomatoes for sowing this year (one by one). About a dozen of them are in paper colored bags.
If there were also a lot of colored bags, the photo album would be of help, insert them instead of photos. And like mine, a small pile in a separate bag - nothing else is needed.
But "own" seeds demanded special attention. And first of all, for safety, we needed 5x8 sachets with a zip-fastener. Their size is dictated by the size of the business card (5x9)
Unfamiliar varieties. Information about them is not easy to find, it is almost nonexistent, or even not at all. In the seedling period, it will not be up to the search at all. Therefore, I slowly dug up everything that could be dug up about each variety, and made cards, such as business cards, for each variety of tomatoes.
Now I can easily determine the following:
- The height of the bush, you can see which ones are in the greenhouse, which ones are in the exhaust gas (open ground)
- Tendency to top rot. These tomatoes will grow in OG, even tall ones.
- The size and color of the fruit will affect where it is planted in the greenhouse. The most fertilized beds will go to large-fruited varieties and cherry.
- Even this year, tomatoes in the OG will have interesting supports (a garter is not needed), and it is important for me how many supports are needed.
- In my case, there is still a nuance, from which region the seeds, I will then compare which ones grow better in our country.
Do you like the storage method?
I would be grateful for your subscription and communication :)
