Patented tongue-and-groove bricks for home construction

Today, building a house with your own hands has become not only fashionable, but also quite simple. Aerated concrete appeared, which can be laid without special skills, easily erected frame houses appeared, and finally, tongue-and-groove bricks appeared, with which laying is a pleasure.

In this article and in the video below, I want to show a cool house building technology for those who are building a light house for summer residence, a second guest house or lives somewhere in the south: in the Kuban or in Crimea.

It was invented and patented by a manufacturer from Brazil, who actually used to specialize in construction of frame-panel houses using the "Canadian" technology, but abandoned it in favor of a cheaper one and warm.

Surely now many will think that this technology is suitable only for southern countries. Let me argue: no one bothers to make a cavity between the bricks, say, 170-190 mm and fill it with ecowool, which is much warmer than mineral wool. The cavities can also be filled with perlite - there will be no mice in such a house.

To heighten the effect, I would use the "double-sided warm seam" technology and finally seal all the joints between the rows of wooden bricks. The seam of acrylic sealant will be a good barrier for steam - moisture will not get into the insulation from either the inside or the outside.

With proper processing of wood with fire-retardant protection, seams - with acrylic sealant, and with high-quality finishing painting, such a house will calmly stand for 50-60 without major overhaul.

By the way, I think that another advantage of the technology is the low load on the foundation under the building spot.

But for now, from my own experience, I will say that such houses are being built only in Brazil, where the technology was invented. I hope someday I will have a chance to see an exhibition sample of such a house in Russia, and I will say to give a more competent opinion on the technology.
