Wanted to surprise, but broke up with the woman instead

Sometimes life throws up very controversial surprises for us. And one day I had to witness how my good friend became hostage to the situation that he himself created. Moreover, the moral of this story can be viewed in two ways - and I am inclined to believe that everything happened for the better.

A friend of mine has a rather prestigious job: he replaces the CEO of a very successful company that sells expensive medical equipment. Of course, work takes a lot of time - he has no free time either on weekdays or on normal weekends, and he forgot to even dream about vacations.

And although all these works are paid very well, there is literally no time left for personal life either.

But somehow the stars became in some kind of cunning row, and he began dating a woman, whom he quickly fell in love with. We can say that he even lost his head.

Because I literally decided on an unprecedented act - to go on vacation for a couple of months. Only now he decided to furnish it in a somewhat unusual way. Which played a decisive role in his relationship with his beloved.

He agreed at work for a two-month vacation - for several years of work he could afford that. I immediately took two tickets for a trip - not yet a wedding, but, as I later admitted to me, I wanted to propose to my woman.

I tried everything to make it beautiful and romantic. But along the way I wanted to play a little my beloved, and at the same time to rest for a week or two at home. This sense of humor, in the end, and ruined his relationship.

In general, one day he announces to his beloved that he is fired from his job. That the relationship at work is completely ruined, there is no turning back, and so far he is unemployed. And this means that finances are now worth saving and spending on his beloved, he, as before, will no longer be able to.

Yes, and the same job is unlikely to find in the near foreseeable future. A friend hoped that the woman would understand him, support him, and he would surprise her later. But it was not there.

He rested a couple of days from his work, and then invites her out on a date, sit at home in a simple way, dine by candlelight, and she refuses him. It turns out that she wanted to go to a restaurant. And her new acquaintance leads her there. According to legend, a friend has no money for such walks.

He already came home to her after such a statement. There the decisive quarrel took place. His love to him directly stated that she did not need an unemployed man.

And that I would rather be looking for a new place than just sitting at home. And she is not going to give up her usual way of life, as well as to drive him to restaurants.

He was taken aback, of course. He threw the rings under her feet. I didn’t say anything — I wouldn’t return to her anyway. And so it happened that a harmless prank served as the impetus for a break in relations.

I myself believe that all this for the better even happened. As it turned out, this woman did not love my friend, but his money. And it's good that it turned out before the wedding, and not after.

Moreover, I am now sure that every person you are going to trust should be checked - so as not to get into such a stupid situation. So I advised my friend.
