Soil soda
The main feature of baking soda in relation to soil is the fact that it raises the pH level of the soil. Mainly, it "acidifies" the soil, that is, it makes it more neutral for plants. To get the most out of it, I recommend using baking soda for acidic soil.
Sprinkle baking soda on the soil regularly, and slowly but surely, the soil will begin to deoxidize, which, as you should understand, is very good. You can also sprinkle baking soda in each well when planting plants. This can be done both in winter and spring.
Soda for plants
Besides the fact that baking soda can be used for soil, there is another option worth noting. You can also sprinkle baking soda in each hole when planting plants, the plants will not mind.
Pour a pinch of dry powder into the hole and plant the seedlings in the traditional way. This will not only have a beneficial effect on the land, but also protect the plants from root rot and other fungal diseases. This is best done in the spring during planting.
Seed Soda
Properly harvested seeds are much better than store-bought seeds. Therefore, in order to disinfect them, you can use soda. Moreover, this powder has antiseptic properties and will disinfect seeds from bacteria and viruses.
Spread the seeds on a small piece of paper, soak them in a baking soda solution (dilute 1 teaspoon of baking soda in 1 liter of water). Leave the seeds in this position for 5 hours, and then plant them in the ground. Soda will be an excellent catalyst for the growth of planted seeds in the spring.
