To the florist's advice: how to sow pelargonium so that it sprouts together
Even a novice florist can grow pelargonium from seeds. It's easy and simple.
I offer my own version of sowing pelargonium seeds. You can sow geraniums in a flower bed in spring, but the development will be quite long. It is better to grow a flower culture for seedlings at home. Sowing must be done in January.
What is needed
You need to pick up a container with a depth of at least 3 cm and fill it with light soil. Then you should outline the grooves with a wooden stick or a school ruler 0.5 cm deep.
How to sow
Geranium seeds are light brown, not small, they will be quite visible on the soil. The seed should be spread out along the grooves, the distance between the seeds is approximately 1 cm.
How to cover seeds
Seeds can be sealed in the following ways. It is best to sprinkle the grooves with river sand sifted through a sieve, which must be calcined in the oven in advance. The depth of the powder should be no more than 3-5 mm. But you can cover the seeds with the same soil where you sowed pelargonium.
After sowing, it is necessary to moisten the grooves so that each seed absorbs the right amount of moisture. For this, the soil along the grooves should be sprayed abundantly with a spray bottle until the soil is wet to a depth of 3-4 cm.
After watering, the crops should be noted by putting a number and writing the name of the geranium variety. Then the container must be covered with glass or foil.
In this case, a special microclimate will be created in the bowl so that the seeds are constantly in a humid environment and then give amicable shoots.
The container with crops must be further placed in a warm place where the temperature will not drop below +20 degrees Celsius.
Seedlings appear on the 10-12th day under favorable conditions. But the sprouts can hatch earlier, so the crops must be checked for germination.
