If you build a house from a 40 cm gas block, you get a warm house even in the Ural weather, my example
In the conditions of our Ural weather, when building a new house, we have to weigh all the factors that will help keep the house warm in winter. Of course, home insulation is a very expensive item of expenditure. Therefore, we immediately decided not to save on wall thickness and decided to build from the thickest material possible - 40 cm gas blocks.
Many of our friends built houses from a gas block, but they did not take a 40-centimeter one. Of course, it is quite heavy and if you build houses on your own, then this is a very large load. But a construction company built a house for us, which provided the bricklayers with a crane for the whole day, and therefore they Were not so loaded with carrying these blocks, as if they were dragging them by hand, as shabashniks most often do.
Why we decided to make a house out of a gas block is understandable. This material is natural and made from local raw materials. Undoubtedly, synthetic substances and other chemicals are used in the production, but compared to brick and simple foam block, it is more environmentally friendly.
A house from a gas block "breathes", it lets in steam and air. In addition, it does not burn and does not emit harmful substances when heated. 40 cm walls will keep you warm even in severe frosts. Moreover, the outside of our house is tiled with bricks. There is an air gap between the gas block and the brick trim, which also retains heat.
Therefore, we believe that we have built a warm house, which was proved by the past winter. But our friends, who built a house from a 30-centimeter block, had one of the walls frozen in severe frost. There was no finishing yet, and they noticed it in time.
Now they have to spend money on wall insulation. These are expenses that could have been avoided if they had taken a thick block at once.
Maybe this is ridiculous compared to the global nature of the problem of heat in the house, but I also like our thick walls because the rooms have very wide window sills - it's just great!
