How I Spare Glands to Ward Off Infections
"Until the thunder breaks out, the man does not cross himself." I remember this beautiful Russian proverb when my throat starts to hurt. It happens during the off-season: the weather is unstable, you don't know how to dress better, somewhere you get too cold, wet your feet - and sore throat is provided.
The tonsils or tonsils are the first barrier that an infection overcomes before entering the body.
I want to share with you some rules that will protect you from disease, and tonsils from removal.
Personal hygiene
I always wash my hands before eating, after using the toilet, when I return from a walk or after interacting with pets.
I wash vegetables and fruits with special care before eating, because they can also harbor pathogenic bacteria and microbes.
Fresh air
The city in which I live is a large industrial center. City air cannot be called clean because of the work of chemical, metallurgical and other enterprises. I often see people around me suffer from runny nose due to air pollution. For some, a runny nose develops into chronic diseases. I save myself from the city smog at the dacha, where I leave as soon as the warm spring weather sets in.
Good nutrition
Healthy tonsils - healthy immunity. The immune system is strengthened by foods rich in selenium, zinc, vitamins A, C, E. I try to buy as much fruit, vegetables, high-quality vegetable oil as possible. I really like seeds, crackers and dryers. So that they do not get stuck in the gaps of the tonsils, after each meal I try to rinse my mouth and brush my teeth.
Physical education and sports
To strengthen the immune system, I, as much as I can, do physical education, walk a lot, ride a bicycle. I try to be less nervous, not to get into stressful situations, as this does not have the best effect on the health of the tonsils.
Visit doctor
I regularly take my grandchildren to see an otolaryngologist at the local clinic in order to avoid unwanted infection or start treatment on time if sick children appear in kindergarten.
In the cold season, I always dress warmly, try not to freeze, avoid very cold food and drinks.
Warm herbal teas with the addition of honey, gargle with extracts of chamomile, oak bark, yarrow, linden flowers, and also beekeeping products - my assistants in the prevention of colds in general and the preservation of tonsils in particular.
