I am an opponent of chemistry in the garden, but I definitely buy a few mineral fertilizers - my list
A personal garden and vegetable garden is a rather expensive business. And to say 100% that it is beneficial in all respects is impossible. The most important thing in gardening is getting environmentally friendly products. It is organic, that is, it does not contain chemistry in its composition. But such products on the market are not as cheap as those piled up on the shelves in supermarkets. This is where the economic benefit effect appears.
Of course, I am against the use of chemicals in the garden. But there are mineral fertilizers that are simply necessary for the normal growth and development of plants. If they are introduced in accordance with the recommendations and norms, then they do not accumulate in plants, but are completely consumed for the formation of tissues.
These fertilizers include potash, phosphorus and nitrogen fertilizers. They are essential for the formation of plant protein. And the lack of these chemical elements in the soil will only lead to the fact that garden crops will not give a crop, they will develop poorly, and shed flowers. And besides this, they will be poorly stored, rot and hurt, because they have very weak cells.
That is why around February I start stocking up on fertilizers. To do this, I go to large stores, where prices are lower.
I always buy superphosphate first. This phosphorus fertilizer is necessary for me first of all, because it dissolves poorly. Therefore, I fertilize flower beds with them, where perennials winter, in March, right in the snow. In the spring when the snow melts, superphosphate will dissolve and go to the roots, which need it to enhance growth.
In addition, I add superphosphate in a homeopathic dose to the seedling soil. There it also helps develop a strong root system.
Another fertilizer is complex. Its name consists of the components of Nitrofosk. But there is Nitrogen (nitrates), Phosphorus and Potassium. They have frightened us with nitrates since childhood. But they are simply essential for plant growth. Leaves with a lack of nitrogen will be lethargic, yellow. You cannot create an excess of it so that it does not accumulate in the soil. But there should always be wealth.
Nitrofoska is the main component of greenhouse feeding. She gives everything our vegetables need. The main thing is not to pour too much!
And, of course, I buy urea, or urea, which I use for pest control.
These are the purchases I made this winter. The prices, I want to say, have not increased yet in comparison with the last year. So, have time to buy!
