This fire goes through the entire stove and chimney, burning off the soot. An increased draft is formed and the chimney is cleared of carbon deposits and soot.

This is a high fire hazard, especially in the warm season. It is better to do aspen cleaning prevention in spring and autumn, when there is still or already snow.

Another old method is to add dry potato peels to the furnace. The starch helps to flake off the soot in the chimney. This method can be used as prevention.
