How to spray fruit trees in early spring from pests and infections. I share my experience

Several dozen types of pests can pose a threat to our fruit trees and berry bushes. With the arrival of spring and the appearance of heat, insects begin to live actively on plants that were not processed in a timely manner in the fall. For the entire season, spraying is carried out up to 4-5 times in summer cottages.

In March-April (before budding, at an ambient temperature of at least + 3- + 4 degrees), experienced gardeners recommend processing fruit trees (apple, pear) with a solution of copper sulfate (100 grams of substance per bucket of warm water for 10 liters, previously dissolved in a small amount water). This drug has shown its positive effectiveness over the years of its use.

For stone fruits (cherries, cherries), you need 50 gr. copper sulfate on a bucket of water. The finished mixture should be poured into a sprayer and treated with plants. To strengthen the solution, you can add 700 grams of urea to it (it dissolves in a separate container, then mixed in a general solution). But in this case, only the crown can be processed in the spring.

In addition, three percent iron sulfate is used to treat tree infections. A six percent solution is used locally, only for the treatment of lichens. The whole tree does not need to be treated with such a solution.

It is advisable to carry out the processing immediately after pruning the branches, which will protect the trees from infection. The trunk, crown, trunk circle must be sprayed abundantly. The procedure should be carried out in a respirator, special glasses and gloves.

Instead of copper sulfate, a three percent Bordeaux liquid (300 grams per 10 liters of water) is suitable. But its disadvantage is that it clogs the sprayer, because it contains lime in its composition.

After 10 days, I carry out a second treatment after the first treatment with a systemic insect repellent. During this period, the kidneys already swell a little.

In gardening shops there are many preparations of systemic action against insect pests. I mainly use the drug "Alatar" (insecticide) and "Bi 58" (broad-spectrum insectoacaricide) as a preventive measure. If pests have started on your fruit trees, then I add the drug "30 plus" to the applied systemic drug.

It contains vaseline oil, which penetrates into all the crevices of trees and acts negatively on insects, they simply suffocate from the remedy.

I process trees before the leaves bloom. The drug "30 plus" works well when added to any systemic agent (with the exception of sulfur-containing drugs).

In addition, "Aktara" helps from pests, "Horus" (can be used in the pink cone phase), also "Skor", "Hom", "Oksikhom", "Abiga Peak". These funds work at temperatures above + 4- + 5 degrees and can be used for swelling of the buds and opening of leaves.
