"That's how I saved it!" We redo the repair, and show how it should NOT have been done

Today I want to start the article with the question: Do you supervise the work of craftsmen (builders, finishers, plumbers, electricians) when they work in your house for your money?

And another question for the masters:Do you undertake to redo someone else's poorly done work?

I have sworn not to do this so many times! Especially at sites where rework requires heating, communications. Because there are usually two situations - or the masters were real hands... not very good! Or customers are unscrupulous - those who are dissatisfied with everything and are trying to "throw" the masters for money.

I do not like to redo after someone! But all the same, there are objects or customers who cannot be refused!

And now... One of these days a girl calls me, says that friends advised the master - makes it cheap and good! But in fact, in her beautiful apartment, the unfortunate master "screwed up" #repairs! Now she is already afraid to invite someone! But there is no choice, so he says: "You need to bring to mind!"

The motto of many masters!

Very often I hear and read about what each subsequent master slanders the previous one! "Hait" someone else's work!

I decided to share with you interesting photos of the renovation, which will have to be redone! Repair, in which, as in the cartoon "Vovka in the far-away kingdom" - the masters did not bother! After all "AND SO IT WILL COME!"

Repairs in the secondary housing. I'll show you the bathroom.

I'll start with the tiles! After all, laying tiles is like a work of art. And, as it turned out, many masters create it according to the principle - "I am an artist, this is how I see it!"

Level?? No, you haven't!

And so it was. In some places there were gaps of 2 cm! How did you have to work hard? Many tiles were laid, each at its own height. Looks great at the junction! The joints are crooked, at different levels. And already now there are cracks between the tiles! Flip through the photo of the masterpiece!

They tapped the tiles, in the corners - emptiness! How can you not apply it to corners using a comb? For me - a mystery!

Heated towel rail!

For some reason, the master also decided to replace the water heated towel rail with an electric one. But he chose a controversial decision. The water heated towel rail was simply laid with drywall! For the electrical one, I really prepared a wire, brought it out neatly. But the wire turned out to be two-core! And where did the third live?? Remains a mystery!

Another very interesting thing! The master decided to level the walls and floor with plasterboard. And in some places he simply did not dismantle the old tiles, he laid a new one on top!

Yes, and here and there I decided to chop off the floor and not finish it... Probably the nut would have done... And most likely I sawed down the door to close normally!

Immersed ventilation is a new squeak of fashion!

But the cherry on top was the lack of ventilation! I have never seen anything like this! The master in the bathroom just walled up the ventilation! I just tiled this unnecessary hole! Well, really, why is she?)) In principle, if you wash with a bucket from a bucket once a week, you can do without ventilation!

It is not clear to me how the master could allow this to happen. Why don't Customers control the craftsmen? The girl paid for the work of the unfortunate master. And now you will have to pay for alterations again! Saved!

#useful tipsDear readers, when you hire strangers! Always ask about each stage of work, get interested, come and check! Control doesn’t mean being around every minute! Control means being aware of what strangers are doing in your home!
