Cross shaped board fence or 3D fence

We will continue to consider unusual options for a fence made of a board, which, at low cost of materials, will make the fencing of the site not just a border, but also practically a work of art. It's about fences made in this technique:

Figuredly cut boards 50 mm thick are screwed onto two wooden beams with self-tapping screws. Made from planed or brushed boards. Each is cut along a curved line. But along such a line that two identical halves are formed. Only you will need to screw every second one by turning it 180 gr. This method will give a three-dimensional appearance to the fence or, as they say now, to get a 3D fence.

Boards can be cut with a regular jigsaw. This is, of course, a long process. And you will probably need a reliable power tool capable of long and heavy loads. The edge will need to be processed with a router with a curly cutter. Before this, we securely fix the board on the table (clamp it with side bars). According to this technique, there will be no scraps from the lumber. But in this version there will be a lot of scraps:

With this arrangement of the board, the fence will be visible only in a transverse view. The plot is not visible at an angle.

An even more difficult option. In this case, they do this: screw all the boards onto one span of the fence, mark the drawing. It will be the same height on each board, but at a different angle. Further, substituting the pattern of the embossed drawing, the drink is marked on each board, taking into account the angle. You can simply move the pattern of the drawing to a certain length.

Next, we sign each board and make the required amount, corresponding to the number of spans. A few more examples of volumetric 3D picket fences:

If the boards were not planed, then they need to be sanded with a belt sander. Before installation, all boards are coated with wood impregnation. Can be stained and yacht varnish. Otherwise, after installing the boards, it will be inconvenient to paint. If the wood was not dry enough, then the varnish will crack over time. A quick way to cover the boards is to do it with a small roller or by dipping into a container made of boards and covered with polyethylene.

The edge is also removed with a milling cutter and painted in a different shade. Agree, it also looks impressive if the drawing is also invented by you. Of the shortcomings of such fences, only one can be distinguished - this is the speed and laboriousness of manufacturing.
