Why blood group 1 is considered not the most "successful"
Scientists have suggested that a certain blood group increases a person's risk of injury. To verify this, they selected a control group among hospital patients and collected analytics using medical records. The findings of scientists reveal the weaknesses of one of the blood groups.
Weaknesses of the 1st blood group
Recently, I learned that scientists have paid attention to the dependence of a high probability of death as a result of injuries on the blood type. It turns out that people with blood group 1 had the highest percentage of risk for complex injuries, reaching 28%. The rest of the blood groups did not exceed the values by more than 11%.
Scientists have found that the main reason for the high risks lies in blood clotting. Injuries are associated with blood loss and blood stops can not always be completed promptly. Low coagulation suggests increased blood loss. As you know, the loss of blood for the body is critical and can lead to a sad outcome.
Coagulation is explained by some characteristics that experts provide for information: Group 1 has minimum values for the content of plasma glycoprotein in it. Glycoprotein is referred to as a direct factor affecting blood clotting. In case of injury, a person with group 1 is given a blood transfusion with a high proportion of platelets in order to increase coagulability.
But groups 2, 3 and 4, included in 11%, are lucky because the protein content in the blood is such that it does not allow it to fold. However, it should be noted that the protein level in these groups is at the same, constant level. At the same time, the risk of developing blood clots in these groups was revealed, as well as the likelihood of cholesterol plaques. This is due to prothrombin and fibrinogen, which appears at a certain moment as the basis of a future thrombus.
Heart disease in people with blood group 1
In 2017, a congress of cardiologists of national importance was held in St. Petersburg. One of the reports provided important information. Collecting data on patients helped to establish that people with group 1 are significantly less likely to suffer from cardiovascular diseases.
Carriers of groups 2, 3 and 4, on the contrary, due to their predisposition to thrombosis, form a high incidence rate, including the risk of getting a heart attack by 9% higher.
