Even mushrooms grew in my basement π€¦ββοΈ. The reasons for the appearance of "living creatures" on the walls, and simple methods of elimination.
This is not our first battle with mold and other organisms. And while (it seems to me), I am winning successfully ...
Friends, hello everyone. The issues of mold and the like in a private home, in my opinion, are very important.
And if earlier I could only guess about this, now I am definitely convinced that if you do not fight this in the early stages, then you can get big problems later. And there will be no joy from life in your home!
During the time that I am building my house, I have already encountered this more than once.
The greenery on the blocks appeared when I was laying the walls.
Mold hit the rafters while I fiddled with the roof for a long time.
Well, the basement is an ideal place to live not only various molds, but even mushrooms.
And no matter how terrible these "attacks" are, the main thing is to take timely measures.
β First of all, we get rid of what has already grown.
- A mechanical method is also suitable here - this is some kind of carriage.
- Or chemical. For example, using bleach, you can lighten the affected tree.
β Then you need to treat the surface with an antiseptic.
There are a bunch of different options in stores now for any surface, from concrete to wood.
β Well, and most importantly, you need to exclude a favorable environment for microorganisms.
How not to water the surface with chemistry, someday its effect will end, and nature will take its toll. Therefore, you need to start by understanding why mold, etc., appears at all.
I saw everything by my own example.
- Blocks were overgrown with "green" only in damp places, where the sun did not fall.
- The rafters, while in the rain in the air, felt more or less. As soon as I covered this damp wood with a roof, mold immediately took over everything.
- Well, the basement, which was constantly flooded, poor ventilation, and low temperatures, was just an ideal world for mold and the like.
So we remove excess moisture and that's it.
For this, I have already made forced ventilation, which will remove all the accumulated moisture. And in the future, it will only be necessary to maintain this atmosphere.
Friends, what do you think about this? I look forward to your advice in the comments.
