Lamps with a motion sensor - an innovation for 300 rubles
I have long wanted to buy something modern for my home, but I don’t want to make a “smart home” system yet. I decided to start by buying lamps with a motion sensor. They are useful in corridors, for example, at night, when it is inconvenient to turn on the light every time.
You can find such lamps in many online stores, but I chose Aliexpress. I wanted to find something cheaper and with good reviews. It was also important for me when choosing that the lamps were well attached and did not need to be fastened to nails.
On the wooden wall, the lamps with the motion sensor adhered very well.
Illumination
They do not shine very brightly, enough for the corridor at night. For me, this is a plus, since it is inconvenient to adapt to bright light at night, and such light is very comfortable. I have four lamps in total. One hung in the hallway above the door, the second near the bathroom, and the other two in the corridor, where there is no lighting at all.
In a large room or for bright light, I advise you to buy several lamps and hang them on different sides. One is enough for a small hallway or, for example, a bathroom.
How the lamp works
For power, you need three little finger batteries in each lamp. They should not be consumed quickly, since the motion sensor is triggered only when there is some movement, and if a person has already passed, the lamp turns off after a minute. If the room is light, the lamp will not turn on.
For almost a month of using these lamps, none of them stopped working, they always turned on and off as expected.
Mounting lamps with motion sensor
First of all, I paid attention to the mount when choosing a lamp. I did not want to spoil the walls, so I did not consider the fastening with nails. Although the lamps are lightweight, they need a strong mount.
These lamps are hung in a rather unusual way: to the wall on durable double-sided tape, which can hardly be removed from wooden walls. The back panel is attached to the wall, and the main part with the lamp is removable for replacing the batteries. I found it very convenient. The lamp is attached to the panel with a magnet.
Advantages and disadvantages
I really liked the lamps. It is very convenient to mount them at the dacha, I think to get a couple for the apartment. Most liked:
· Moderate lighting;
· High-quality sensor with shutdown without movement;
· Good fastening and removable panel for changing batteries.
I did not notice any drawbacks for myself, but others may not like:
· Fastening on an adhesive tape, inconvenient for paper wallpapers;
· Powered by three batteries, which is not very profitable.
In general, I highly recommend these lamps for purchase. They are definitely worth their money and work without interruption, economically and very conveniently.
