The other day I had to run into the local clinic. It was in the morning, at 7.15, so there were almost no people. There were only those who would go to the doctors first. In such a quiet and half-asleep atmosphere, you involuntarily begin to look at everything. Since I have something to do with construction and decoration, it goes without saying looked at the walls, ceilings and floors ...
At some point I did not even believe that it still happens this way and that you can see this in the city polyclinic. I looked at the linoleum for several minutes and "admired" the patience of people, staff and everyone else who has to walk on such a floor many times a day.
Well this is necessary! How many times has it been repaired and how!? Just look at the resulting ornament from pieces of different sizes, ages and thicknesses. And how neatly and symmetrically they are arranged and attached. The edges of each fragment are reliably shot with a stapler, the staples of which are very clearly visible. For the sake of interest, you can calculate how many patches actually are in the area shown in the picture.
While I was sitting, a cleaning lady came with a bucket and a mop and began to slowly wash this floor, also talking with a colleague in the shop, which is at the other end of the corridor. I kept thinking whether it would catch on and fall? I watched the movements tensely, especially when she used a rag to get to the most widespread places, which definitely needed to be crossed or, better, jumped over.
Oddly enough, she never stumbled or caught on either a shoe or a rag, which was even more astonishing. Washing such a floor is an art!
When I had to get up from my seat so that the cleaning lady could wash the floors everywhere, I noticed that the seats on which I sat had also seen a lot in their lifetime. All this once again reminded us that our world is amazing in its words and deeds that are very lagging behind them.
Seeing the optimism of the workers of the medical institution, I thought that it was necessary to look at things the way they were - with humor, and try not to notice the shortcomings of life that was underfoot, which could not always be eliminated. It is clear that this is a matter of time. Let's wait and notice other instructive moments!
