How to feed cherries and cherries: feeding from spring to autumn

Top dressing of trees, especially fruit trees, takes an important place in horticulture. Spring is the time when trees begin vegetation for the growth of leaves of shoots and flowering, they need moisture and mineral elements for nutrition. This allows the plants to recuperate after a difficult winter, which will certainly affect the yield in the future.

Young cherries that are not yet blooming and not bearing fruit are enough to feed once in early spring.

Traditionally, nitrogen fertilizers are used as a top dressing for cherries, which should be diluted according to the instructions.

Before watering the soil near the tree with a solution of nitrogen fertilizers, especially concentrated ones, you need to moisten the soil in the trunks with plain water. This must be done to prevent the solution from burning the cherry roots.

Top dressing in early spring before bud break is possible with humus: mix 5 kilograms per 10 liters of water. The resulting fertilizer is either dissolved in water or scattered over the soil surface before rain.

Cherry dressing

During the cherry blossom season, mix 20 liters of ash and a bucket of fresh manure per 100 liters of water (preferably use poultry manure).

Then thoroughly stir the dressing and leave it for at least two weeks. It is best to choose a warm place where the reaction will take place faster. If it leaves outside, it all depends on the weather.

Then, before use, mix everything again. We collect top dressing in a bucket and pour it under the tree. It is important to start feeding during the spring flowering period so that the beneficial properties are preserved until autumn.
