How to effectively deal with weeds in the garden with the help of folk remedies and methods. I share my experience
I take good care of the environment, I do not pour chemistry on the site. I am constantly looking for new means of weed control. Indeed, in addition to weeding by hand, there are other methods of removing weeds.
Using a hoe
If you shoot down weeds with a hoe in the garden every 10-14 days, you can easily get rid of them within 1.5 months. Weeds have their own growth cycles. On average, they are 20 days. Of course, you cannot get rid of all the weeds, but it will be noticeable that their number will be much reduced. By mid to late June, your work will ensure the cleanliness of the site.
Mulch and agrofibre
I try to mulch the beds in the greenhouse and open ground with a thick layer of cut grass. You can also cover some areas in the garden and sod in the garden with a covering material as dark agrofibre. After a year, there will be no grass in this place, it will rot all over to the root. In the future, you just need to dig up the site and plant the plants.
There is another option for using agrofibre already on plowed land. The denser the spunbond is, the better (at least 60 mg per square meter). Ideally, this event should be done in early spring, after plowing the soil. You can cover the ground with spunbond later, but before that you should pull through and knock down the grown weeds.
From the edges, the agrofibre needs to be dug with earth so that it is not blown away by the wind. Holes should be made in it in the right places and your crops should be planted. Thus, I plant strawberries in my beds. And I do not suffer with weeding, especially if a lot of it grows on the site.
Grout
This method is effective if the grass is small. For example, in the greenhouse on the paths I always do this.
I put on gloves and in a circular motion of my hand I walk on the soil, as if rubbing the ground. I do this several times a season, and the weeds do not bother me anymore in the greenhouse.
Hope you find these tips useful as you work on your site!
