We share, but we do not share! 6 cool ideas for zoning space in a small apartment

Open space makes a miniature apartment visually larger and more spacious than it really is. But here's the catch! For the apartment, one way or another, should be divided into different functional areas: entrance hall, kitchen, living room, bedroom, workplace, etc. And then a logical question arises: how to properly zone the space in a tiny apartment?

Good afternoon dear friends!

There are a number of solutions to this question! Some imply the construction of main walls and false partitions, which, in my opinion, is impractical. Since they "eat up" a significant piece of the already modest area of the apartment, they reduce the level of natural light, and generally make repairs more expensive. Other methods of physical and visual separation of space are less radical and allow more efficient use of the available square meters. But not everyone knows about them!

And so that you have choosing a way to divide the space in your apartment, I prepared this material.

1.Rack-partition. Such a solution fully meets both aesthetic and practical needs. For it allows you not only to zone the space in the apartment, but also to add space for storing books, indoor plants or the demonstration of decorative accessories. Such furniture is light and air permeable, which means that it does not clutter up the space of the house.

In addition, several closed modules or drawers can be provided in the rack (if it is made to order) to add functionality to it. But in this case, do not get carried away, since most of the partition must still remain open.

2.Colored stroke. Do not neglect and simple visual ways of allocating space. For example, with such a colored rectangle on the wall, you can outline the boundaries of the working or dining area in the same living room. In addition, a bright touch on the wall will 100% give your room an unusual and memorable look.

And it's easy enough to make it! You just need to use catchy interior paint or beautiful wallpaper with an unusual print.

3.Decorative screen. Few people know, but the screen can be very much used when delimiting space in a small apartment. It takes up quite a bit of space (against the wall or on the balcony), but it does its job perfectly. For example, guests must come to you, and by all means you need to hide the recreation area! Easy: they opened the screen - and VOIL, the bed was gone.

A real lifesaver for small spaces, which can be purchased in a store or made yourself from a wooden base, fabric or macrame thread.

4.Stylish curtains. As you know, curtains can decorate not only windows, but also the interior of the apartment as a whole. And if so, then their use when dividing space in the house looks quite logical. When folded, they act as an additional decorative element, while when extended, they provide the privacy you need.

The main thing is to choose the right textiles and color palette, which will depend not only on the style of the interior, but also on the area of your apartment.

5.Climbing plant element. How do you go about making an inexpensive and highly original space divider? Positively! Then prepare some potted bindweed and an open clothes hanger with a bottom shelf. On which you will later place your "green friends".

Over time, you will grow a vertical garden, with the help of which it will be possible to separate the hallway, bedroom or work area.

6.Glass partition. And finally, a more fundamental element than the previous ones. This fashionable partition practically does not clutter up the space of a small apartment, it is airy, invisible, and at the same time copes well with the role of a false wall.

Especially if it is equipped with smart tinting technology, which allows you to adjust the transparency of the glass.
