I only learned at 50 that adhesive tape stuck to an important document can be removed without spoiling the paper.

At work, I often use scotch tape, because it is indispensable in many situations when the employer cannot afford to provide fashionable stationery. For example, stick labels on folders, paste over the corners of magazines - and many other things. And how many times has it happened that untwisted sticky tape accidentally fell on the document, stuck, and... that's it, the document is damaged.

And only recently I saw a way thanks to which adhesive tape can be removed from a sheet of paper completely without damaging the latter.

So, I firmly stick a tape of scotch tape on the sheet with the text.

And then, taking the tape by the opposite ends, I begin to stretch it with all my might.

The tape is stretched, springy and calmly moves away from the paper, without clinging to the fibers. Even I, acting with one hand, as I photograph with the other, was able to remove the adhesive tape from the paper almost without damage. And if you take it responsibly, then you can not cause any damage at all.

Why did I find out about this just before retirement? I hasten to share with everyone if there are still people who do not know such a secret.

The second interesting point is securing the end of the tape. What people just don’t do is fold it, stick a piece of paper, they just don’t bother - they pick the tip every time with a fingernail.

My husband always glues a washer to the tape, it is metal, thin and perfectly holds, at any time ready to provide the end of the tape.

And at work I use a clerical clip, I'm already used to it, it's convenient for me. Although I also use a puck, it's practical.

But in the case when you need a lot of scotch tape, and you constantly have to tear it off, there is a secret that we used when packing things during the move.

A plastic clamp was put on a roll of tape, tightened and the tip was cut off at an acute angle. The result was a needle made of hard plastic.

When the scotch tape was stretched, to tear it off, you just had to hook it to the end of the clamp, the tape would break and nothing needed to be cut.

The tip remained on the clamp. And the next piece is the same.

These are the secrets with scotch tape that can be useful to many.
