For the first time in history, a private company has overtaken other countries and space agencies in orbital launches and placed more payload into orbit than all others combined.
SpaceX is the new world leader in orbit launches
The well-known space company Ilona Mask SpaceX completed 20 successful launches in the first half of 2021, ahead of the Chinese state space corporation (China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation) and our third place Roskosmos.
In addition, SpaceX has also successfully delivered 4 astronauts into orbit. Although, purely technically, the launch of manned spacecraft was carried out by three companies at once: Rosskosmos, SpaceX and CASC and only one launch was carried out, but due to the larger capacity of SpaceX, it was ahead of the rest.
At the same time, the American company simply has no competitors in terms of the number of satellites launched into orbit. So in the first 6 months, 930 vehicles were successfully sent into orbit (although 700 of them belong to the Starlink system).
But in fact, this is not all that important, because in the same time, SpaceX has put more than 230 metric tons of payload into orbit. And this is a minute more than all the others combined (other agencies and countries have withdrawn 175 tons of payloads).
In fact, it is surprising at what speed this private company is developing and how ambitious plans are put before specialists. Observing such progress, it is already quite believed that in the very near future SpaceX will prepare the first manned Mars exploration program.
