Over the years, he became wiser: he always began to feed Carrots and Beets with salt a month before harvesting. The harvest is sweet, almost like candy
Do you want to harvest sweet carrots and beets? Then a fiery salute, comrade restless gardener! Admit it, how many cans of lightly salted cucumbers are already ready? I only twirled 20 pieces with my wife's hands.
The problem of bitter carrots and beets
But today on the agenda is a very cool and inexplicably working top dressing of root crops in the face of carrots and beets. Several years ago I read it in some dubious newspaper, but, not really believing in the result, I decided to test it in practice. And, oh, a miracle! Carrots and beets really turned out to be much sweeter - almost like candy! Since then, I have been doing this trick every year.
After all, comrades, there is nothing worse than growing-watering-feeding carrots all summer. And then, having tasted the harvest and realizing that it is sadly bitter, pretend that everything is fine and tell the assembled household: "Well, it will go for frying!"
How to properly feed carrots and beets with salt
Purely theoretically, you can feed the root crops with salt at any time when they gain underground mass. But I prefer to do this about a month before harvest. This year - I decided now, on the border of July and August.
Friendly tip: Comrade! Do not overuse salt - do 1 top dressing and only according to my recipe. Variations on the Internet to feed 3 times a pack per garden bed will destroy both the fertility of the earth, and, possibly, the plants themselves
- Fill the bed of carrots and beets on time. But don't be as zealous as usual.
- Fill in a watering can or bucket (10 L) of warm water.
- In a glass of exactly the same warm water, stir 1 tablespoon of table salt. Plain, not iodized, and so on.
- Pour in a solution of salt in 10 liters of water and feel free to load the watering can.
Further, I think, everyone guessed themselves. The carrot or beet bed should be watered with the resulting ragweed. Let me remind you once again that it is not necessary to make the solution stronger; watering more often than 1 time is also not necessary; otherwise, especially gifted citizens deceptively believe that this will enhance the effect.
Are you planting carrots and beets, but was the post useful? Press, comrade, "Thumbs up", bolder! Sincerely yours, summer resident with sugar carrots, who always has a supply of ideas from dubious newspapers, Fyodor Tyapkin-Sklyankin.
