Several years ago, in a company at a construction exhibition, he took samples of the so-called flexible stone. This is fine quartz or marble sand with a binder. Typically, acrylic polymers are used. Due to their properties, the material is flexible. And when using various dyes, pigments, you can create a pattern that imitates marble or granite.

My photographs show elements of quartz sand, which has been calibrated in different colors.

And the structure of the tiles shows that the grains of sand are held together by a polymer without a mesh. It is easy to make such a tile. It is necessary to mix pure quartz sand with a pigment and add polymer to it. Then apply a thin layer on an even, smooth base and allow the polymer to gain strength.

This is an offer of acrylic adhesive from a company that pours polymer into containers and sells it under its own brand. For large production volumes, it is more profitable to purchase from manufacturers or their representatives in the regions.

A particularly beautiful flexible stone is obtained if it has "veins" of other colors, imitating a cut of rock. How is this achieved?

You can pour two volumes of sand with a different color into the bucket (pre-collared, mixed with a pigment). Loosen this mass with your hands and transfer the poorly mixed sand to a flat base. And you can make a drawing of sand in this device:

Plywood and plexiglass. There is a small gap between them. Sand of different shades is poured in layers, and then transferred to the place of application of the stone. The glass is removed. Next, apply a layer of acrylic glue to the piece of cloth from the fiberglass:

This can be done with a wide trowel in a mold. It is important that the glue is not too thick and not too liquid, and has a thickness on the canvas. We carefully lay this canvas on a sand pattern. The sand sticks to the glue. We roll it with a rubber roller and put it on the rack for polymerization.

The easiest and least expensive way is to produce flexible stone from a monotonous mass of sand. There is no need for fiberglass, it takes the least time. And to imitate stone rocks, you still need to fill your hand.

Many companies that produce flexible stone teach this technology, sell frasize with their support. Cost - from 75 thousand. rub. But even with such videos, this technology can be mastered independently. Flexible stone cost - from 800 rubles / m2. Cost price - 100-150 rubles / m2. Due to the handicraft, the margin is kept at a high level.

I liked this technology better. Glue the panel onto the plaster, evenly rub the seams with a wide spatula and tear off the film from the elements after drying. It turns out a perfectly flat brick facade.
