Nowadays, you will hardly surprise anyone with tool attachments. For example, there are a lot of attachments for a screwdriver or drill. They make work easier and more functional. Today I will tell you about an unusual drill attachment for splitting firewood.

Leave the ax, there is a more modern solution to chop wood, chips for a barbecue, stove, fireplace. Now you will not remember the pain in the back and arms when working with an ax. The work is more comfortable with the attachment.

But there are also disadvantages, which I will talk about further.

There are different types of wood splitter (hydraulic, mechanical, electric, gasoline). All of these devices are expensive. For example, a hydraulic one costs from 30,000 rubles.

I saw a review on one site about a wood splitter attachment for a screwdriver or drill. I could not resist and bought myself such a "miracle". Moreover, now we need to prepare firewood for the bath.

It is not that expensive (about 500 rubles). The length of the nozzle is 14.5 cm. Made of carbon steel (heavy). It looks like a screw cone. Weighs 330 gr.

Of the pluses: comfortable to operate and safe. Just attach the nozzle and go. No need to swing an ax, waste energy. The whole process is simplified with such a miracle nozzle.

Can be used outdoors or indoors. Chips pricks with a bang, and can also prick small lumps. A special adapter allows you to easily insert the bit into the drill chuck.

Of the cons: You need a powerful tool (punch, drill, screwdriver). The screwdriver does not cope with the task. You can only chop wood chips, boards.

Tried it on a raw and dry block of wood, nothing happened. It gets stuck in a tree and doesn't go any further.

I had to unscrew it manually, with a key. By the way, the reverse does not help, the nozzle remains in the chock, but the adapter is unscrewed.

When unscrewing it with a key, I scratched the metal. But that's okay.
