I am sure that each of us at least once in our life has used soda, vinegar, rice, newspapers, toothpaste... in a non-standard way. For example, soda for "revitalizing" flowers, rice for drying gadgets, and toothpaste for cleaning tile joints, etc. So, as it turns out, banal cornstarch is no exception!

Good afternoon dear friends!

For it can act both as a common thickener in the manufacture of various mousses, puddings, jelly and sauces, and as an excellent assistant in household matters. Namely, during general cleaning of the house, ironing and washing things, and even when fighting annoying insects. At the same time, the price of this universal product is striking, only some 50-100 rubles. What is incomparably cheap in comparison with any branded household chemicals!

In general, to tell you how else you can use regular cornstarch at home, I prepared this material.

1.Spray for ironing. Ironing linen and cottons is another challenge. It takes a lot of time and effort. And if you have the same "picture", I propose to once and for all ease your work by making a spray of cornstarch! To do this, you will need: water, starch and a spray bottle. And then everything is simple! Pour half a liter of water into a container, pour a tablespoon of starch, mix well and go.

Spray curtains, clothes or bedding with this solution and iron it as usual. You will be pleasantly surprised how the "procedure" will be easier and complete much faster!

And in order for your things to acquire a pleasant aroma, you can add a few drops of essential oil to the solution.

2.Means for cleaning windows. Did you run out of window cleaner in the midst of spring cleaning? No problem! Go to the kitchen and grab some starch and 9% vinegar. And then mix these ingredients in a container with hot water, pour the resulting solution into a spray bottle, and start sprinkling them on windows or mirrors.

Actually, everything, the main thing is done. There is little left to do - just wipe the window with a dry microfiber cloth or newspaper. And VOIL, glass is invisible again!

3.Toilet detergent. Don't want to spend money on buying toilet chemicals? No problem! Take starch (2 tbsp. spoons), add citric acid to it (2 tbsp. spoons) and a little liquid soap (10 ml). You mix everything! And then dilute the resulting paste, first with boiled water (100 ml), and then with cold water (500 ml).

Now, you can start washing the toilet! Most likely, you will not see the difference between expensive household chemicals and this solution.

4.Starch remover. Another cool property of cornstarch is the ability to remove stains (ink, blood) from clothing. You need a little: mix it with water, treat the resulting mass with dirty traces and leave it to dry. When the paste dries completely, it will need to be carefully removed with a brush, and then washed again as usual.

By the way, starch can also help you remove various stains on the carpet. To do this, sprinkle traces of dirt or grease with starch, rub with a clean cloth, and after 15–20 minutes vacuum it. That, in fact, is all!

5.Furniture polishing powder. And starch can also replace expensive polish! At the same time giving no less shine and shine to your well-worn furniture. To do this, after applying the wax, you will need to treat the surface of the furniture with cornstarch, and then remove it with a soft cloth.

This same method should work well when polishing a car or cleaning chrome and aluminum parts. But this is at your discretion!

6.Insect repellent. Yes, yes, cornstarch is also not a bad insecticide to fight insects like cockroaches. So, to make a mortar, you need starch itself and cement, gypsum or alabaster. And now you need to mix the ingredients and quickly spread the resulting mixture in the places where the cockroaches are based, or along the way they move, for example, under the sink or behind the refrigerator.

And you will see how, after a while, unwanted neighbors will disappear from your home once and for all.
