Friends, a big hello to everyone. I must say right away that this article is not an exposure of some great conspiracy in the field of construction. These are just the humble thoughts of a person who is building a house for himself.

And after going through quite a few stages in this matter, his own view of things appears.

• Something is clear as day. Well, there... the thicker the insulation layer, the less heat loss will be.
• Something is unknown. For example, what kind of concrete will you bring in a mixer? All that remains is to believe and hope for the best.

And some things are difficult to logic.

Yes, it is possible that the impregnation at one time is not so effective, and at the same time the tree was wet in the rains, then it slowly dried out. But will I be warned about this before the sale? And you can't get away from the realities of the construction site ..

The most interesting thing is that you just dry the tree thoroughly, do not let it get wet in the future, and give "freedom" for in order to breathe (roughly speaking, do not wrap up with roofing material from all sides) - this is the best antiseptic, checked.

But okay with mold, not so critical. Dried, cleaned - done.

But the fire protection of a tree is generally some kind of deception.

When ordinary people (especially those who first encounter this) buy such products and process wood, what do they expect? The fact that during a fire the tree will not burn, well, or at least the process will be slower in order to have time to take action.

✔ What is really going on?

1. Fire retardants dry organic and inorganic salts are the basis of fire protection. A solution of these salts penetrates into the wood during processing, and when the water evaporates, the salts settle on the fibers and remain in the wood.

2. Under the influence of high temperatures from the fire, salt gases are formed, which cool the wood. This prevents the fire from moving further into the structure of the tree.

3. When the salt melts, a continuous layer (crust) is created, which prevents the access of oxygen, and accordingly slows down the combustion.

❗ And all this together should stop the fire. But which one?

It will really help if a burning match falls on the open wooden floor. Well, maybe even stronger fire will withstand it does not matter... But in reality, this is not at all the case.

✅ In 99% of cases, all wood (floor beams, rafters, the same walls) are covered with interior decoration. At the same time, there is a bunch of furniture, appliances, etc. in the house.

And in the event of a fire, what will start to burn first? It is this whole interior. And until it comes to wooden structures, the combustion temperature will be such that the metal will begin to melt, and even super chemistry will not help wood here.

But the most interesting thing is another ...

Many people understand all this perfectly (as you can see me too). But he went anyway, bought it, and missed the rafters and floor beams with this bio-fire protection... Why? Well, just in case, what if, well, it won't get any worse, etc ...
