Autumn tillage, after which 3-5 years there will be a rich harvest of large potatoes

We fertilize the soil correctly

Processing consists of several stages:

  • First, after harvesting, it is necessary to remove all the grass and tops from the garden. Be sure to pay attention to the ground - are there signs of acidification on it? Perhaps it is covered with green (moss, algae), rusty or reddish bloom - these signs directly indicate an increased acidity of the soil. This information will come in handy a little later.

  • Second, cover the soil with an even layer of sand. The thickness of the sand bed is 3-5 centimeters. For this purpose, any sand is suitable: river, dune, quarry. Sand is needed in order to give the soil looseness and drainage properties. It retains moisture and prevents plants from drying out in the absence of watering or rain for a long time. In addition, root crops, which include potatoes, are easier to develop in light, loose soil.

  • Third - deacidify the soil if a green or rusty coating was found on it. This can be done with slaked lime, chalk, ash or dolomite flour. The latter option, in addition to deoxidizing the soil, eliminates the magnesium deficiency and helps fight the wireworm - the larva of the click beetle, which can easily spoil the crop. See the dosage table. If the soil is not acidified, skip this step.
  • Fourth - dig up the garden on a shovel bayonet. The sand should mix well with the soil.
  • Fifth - cover the dug up garden with an even layer of humus or half-rotted manure. The layer thickness is 5–7 centimeters. There is nothing special to tell about manure and humus - everyone knows that these are sources of nutrients for plants. The garden remains in this state until spring.
  • Sixth - in the spring you need to dig up the garden again and you can plant potatoes. The above actions will increase soil fertility and significantly increase the yield.

A vegetable garden is, first of all, the quality of the products grown!

After reading this material, someone, of course, will object, calling the garden after such processing "golden". If you calculate the costs and transfer the amount received into purchased potatoes, then, perhaps, it will seem like a profitable activity, because it is easier to buy than to grow! But here we are not really talking about the benefits, but about the quality of the products. What has grown in its own garden cannot be compared with the purchased one, which is grown with the use of chemical fertilizers. Here everyone is free to choose what he likes!
