How to marinate beef in 12 minutes: an express recipe for a tender and juicy shish kebab
Do you cook beef kebab or do you think this meat is too tough and difficult for the grill? If you have never tried one, then use the express recipe, which will allow you to marinate the meat for 12 minutes. At the same time, the beef kebab will turn out to be tender, juicy and insanely delicious. So, let's get ready!
What ingredients are needed for this dish?
For one kilogram of beef meat, the following products are needed:
- one medium-sized onion;
- one kiwi fruit (preferably ripe);
- half a lemon;
- half a teaspoon of salt and black pepper;
- some hot pepper (on the tip of a knife);
- one teaspoon of cumin and the same amount of coriander seeds;
- 100 milliliters of sparkling mineral water.
How to prepare the marinade?
Any shish kebab begins with meat, more precisely, with its cutting - cut the beef pulp into medium shashlik pieces (into cubes with a side size of 5-6 cm). You can leave the meat on the bone - it's for amateurs.
The further process should look like this:
- Grate or chop onion and kiwi with a blender to a pulp state.
- Grind the cumin and coriander in a mortar.
- Add gruel from kiwi and onions to the meat.
- Then add the seasonings crushed to a powder: cumin and coriander. And also add black and red peppers.
- Squeeze lemon juice into the marinade, pour it all with mineral water, mix well and leave to infuse for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, add salt to the marinade, stir and leave for another 2 minutes.
After this time, the meat can be skewered and fried!
The nuances of the recipe
This express pickling method has its own nuances:
- If you exclude kiwi from this recipe, then it is suitable for ordinary pickling, which lasts 4-6 hours. But if you keep the meat in kiwi for at least an hour, it will become cottony and tasteless. It is kiwi that softens the meat fibers.
- If you don't like cumin and coriander, you can skip adding them to the marinade.
- Although beef is cooked longer than the rest of the meat, it is cooked on the grill in the same way as lamb and pork - 18–20 minutes.
