The family refused tea bags, we make our own tea
Probably, there is no person in the world who would not drink a cup or two of tea a day. And 90% of these people drink tea, which is brewed directly in a mug, from a bag. A lot has been written on this topic that such tea is not useful, that it is production waste, that drinking it means ruining your health. I'm not entirely sure if this is exactly the case, but we gave up tea bags in our family for a long time.
But we have at least three teapots, in which everyone always has fresh tea to their liking.
And the husband does not like tea, he often drinks coffee, so he has his own Turk.
What do we brew in teapots?
Those who like to criticize everything and everyone immediately have a question - what do we drink if we don't buy tea in the store? I answer right away - we buy tea, but only large-leaf tea. Moreover, we try to do this not in chain stores.
If we go to the sea, we buy Krasnodar tea. It can be found either in the tea farms themselves, where they are taken on excursions, or in specialized stores. This is the best tea I have ever tasted. I like him more than any other. Of course, every year it is impossible to escape to the sea, especially since the money is needed to build a house. But if someone from the family is traveling, they always know what to bring us as a gift - Kuban tea.
But we brew not only it in teapots. I am making a mixture of mint, oregano, lemon balm, strawberry flowers and tea leaves. It is a mixture rich in aromas, vitamins, valuable microelements and biologically active substances. It perfectly tones, but also soothes, improves well-being and boosts immunity.
And you can also throw dried rose hips, currants, a slice of apple into the teapot - so each teapot is not like the previous one.
Where do we get the ingredients?
I have already told about tea. I'll tell you about the other components of vitamin tea.
1. We collect mint leaves at the beginning of summer in our garden. Mint in our country is a serious weed that climbs from the planting site in all directions, just chop off its rhizomes in time. They, like underground cables, creep in all directions. But, of course, you cannot remove it at all. I take it for tea, and my husband uses it to add to some of the bath brooms. And, of course, to add to the bait for luring fish when fishing. It's just scary to imagine that, suddenly, there will be no mint!
2. I collect strawberry flowers in abandoned areas around our house. These are, rather, not even strawberries, but a wild strawberry, victoria, which once grew in the beds, and then was pollinated with wild strawberries and now, at the time of flowering, covers the plots with a white carpet.
3. I grow melissa in a greenhouse, in a corner. She likes it there, but you need to make sure that she has enough light.
4. Oregano grows on a ridge, it was sown from purchased seeds. It is perennial and is growing slowly. By the way, in the first year it seemed to me more fragrant, as if wild. But now it is somehow degenerating, there is no longer such a bright smell. Or I don’t feel after covid? It is also an option.
5. Fruits and berries are dried from my own garden.
This is our "tea house". What kind of tea do you drink?
