In an apartment, in order to accommodate everything... all things, sometimes you have to "play Tetris", exceeding the limit of the capacity of your cabinets, nightstands, mezzanines, kitchen units, balconies... Nevertheless, over time, the moment always comes when there is no place to store it, at least it seems so. And then you have two choices!

The first involves the refusal to purchase new things, equipment and accessories, which is hard to imagine. The second is the search for new places to store them! And as it turns out, if you approach this searching process is non-trivial, then you can find and organize additional storage space clothes and shoes, kitchen accessories and household chemicals, toys and books, and even personal mobility aids: bicycle, scooter, skateboard... and etc.

And to prove this fact to you, as well as suggest several new locations where you can place your things in the house, without denying myself anything, I prepared this material.

1.Behind the doors. It is not customary for us to use the space that is hidden behind swing doors. But in vain! Indeed, in such a place, you can easily attach a bunch of hooks (rails) and hang scarves, belts, ties, home clothes or a suit for tomorrow on them. You can also install shallow shelves where you can store books, indoor plants and decorative accessories.

It should be understood that such a space will always be in sight. And this means that it requires impeccable order.

2.Under the windows. Do you have curtains going down to the floor? Fabulous! But, unfortunately, you have to shorten them or even replace them with blinds. For such a non-trivial move will give you the opportunity - to put a mini-pedestal, an ottoman with drawers under the window, or to make a shelf for plants and books. In general, add functionality to previously unoccupied space.

But keep in mind that such a practical use of the wall under the window can make it a little difficult to access the sashes. However, when the issue of storage is very acute, then you have to sacrifice something.

3."Inside" the furniture. Did you know that besides the inner drawer of the bed, sofa, folding chair and coffee table, where many people store pillows / blankets / blankets / shoes, there are other furniture capable of similar tricks? For example, a kitchen set! Which can be slightly modified by adding low drawers to the base of the kitchen to store brushes, rags, a supply of household chemicals, tools, etc.

Certainly not the most convenient place, but when there is no choice, why not use it?

4.In the corners and beyond. Corners, small walls, back and side walls of cabinets can always be played up correctly. There would be a desire! And installing a decorative corner table, mini-bar, rack or shelves will not be difficult for you.

As a result, the corner will be adequately decorated, and additional storage space for things and accessories will be organized.

5.In the bedroom. The space under the bed will be the most spacious here. Even if it is not equipped with a lifting mechanism or built-in shelves, then things can always be folded into boxes, baskets or fabric organizers. Also in the bedroom in the corners you can put a dressing table or fix a shelf, which will replace your bedside table.

You can go even further and abandon the usual headboard, replacing it with a design with built-in shelves. And instead of an ordinary mirror, use a narrow cabinet with a mirrored door. Inside which it will be possible to store cosmetics, jewelry and even medicines.

6.Not only practical. Let's try to combine functionality and beauty. And place on the wall shelves in the shape of a hexagon, stairs, zigzag or a shelf with a cutout for one specific item (guitar, bottles). Then we will add an original touch by fixing the bike, skis, snowboard and other sports equipment on the wall. So you will not only find a place for a specific inventory, but also add an original decor, which will be difficult to find anywhere else.

I recommend not limiting yourself to just the top of the wall, try using the full height from floor to ceiling. Although if there are small children or naughty pets in the house, then you shouldn't lower the shelves too low.
