The only natural fertilizer for flowering Decembrists of all stripes, which is actually useful for them
Do you want to feed the Decembrist for abundant flowering, but are you tired of my advice to use "chemistry"? Then a fiery fireworks, taking care of local environmental friendliness, indoor florist! Today on the agenda is the search for a golden mean, namely, a natural and at the same time effective fertilizer for the Decembrist bloom.
The problem of natural feeding
To begin with, half of the "folk-miracle-feeding-from-grandmother" on closer examination turns out to be not feeding at all. Peroxide, iodine, stronger drinks - work because they burn the roots of plants and cause severe stress.
He makes you throw the buds in a panic. The plant thinks, "I'm about to end. I'll try to multiply urgently by seeds. " How many such "dressings" will survive one particular flower - depends on its resource and the frequency of "sessions" (read - the thoughtless greed of the grower).
Let's look at a more harmless option - banana skins and other organic matter. Do they increase fertility? Yes, because they rot in the soil. They also attract soil midges. Do they help bloom? No. Because for flowering a plant needs phosphorus and potassium, and organic matter is, first of all, about nitrogen.
Note to a friend: The fact that banana skins secrete a lot of potassium is a popular myth. By the way, they contain only 400 mg / 100 g, while in dried apricots - 1880 m / 100 g. Bury dried apricots (of course not!)
Because of this, professional florists are obsessed with fans of natural dressings. At best, they are useless for flowering, at worst, they are harmful.
So where is the golden mean
Of all the natural dressings for houseplants, I only favor wood ash. But, comrades, only properly prepared.
Firstly, it does not cause an invasion of the ubiquitous midges. Secondly, she really gives the plant mineral elements. A little more potassium, a little less phosphorus - it is the most for flowering. Bonus - calcium, which plants also need, but that's a slightly different story, a pinch of magnesium and further down the list. Almost complex mineral fertilizer from a bottle!
Note to a friend: Ash after burning birch firewood is best suited for the Decembrist flowering in composition.
Comrade! Do not think that it is enough to pour ash into a pot and wait for the result. If you do this, the ash will have time to act, perhaps, by the next flowering of the Decembrist. Take a little of your time and make an infusion of wood ash.
How to prepare an infusion of wood ash for the Decembrist
- For 1 liter of warm water, you need to take 1 tablespoon of ash. I will not write - with or without a slide - because by and large it makes no difference. The chemical composition of each specific ash depends on the firewood. You can't guess here, but 1 tablespoon is the middle between "safety" and "efficiency".
- Stir and cover.
- Leave it on for 5-7 days.
- Stir again from the heart, let the heavy particles settle to the bottom and water your Decembrist with liquid - to your health.
Repeat feeding 2-3 times from September to April. Feed with nitrogen fertilizers in the spring. I will write about this in March.
But in the end, let me ponder: after all, chemical fertilizers in "bottles" are head and shoulders more efficient and faster, and thinking about their dangers is like believing in the harm of a 5G tower.
Do you like Decembrists and was the article helpful? Press, comrade, "Thumbs up"!
Sincerely yours, always choosing the option with a bottle, Fyodor Tyapkin-Sklyankin.
