China is developing a quantum radar that, in theory, can easily detect all stealth aircraft.

In the Middle Kingdom, local engineers are actively working on the creation of the so-called quantum radar. This became known from an official statement published in the South China Morning Post. So, according to the publication, the Chinese quantum radar will be able to detect absolutely all stealth aircraft through the creation and use of small electromagnetic storms.

New quantum radar and its capabilities

So the stealth technology itself is built on a significant reduction in visibility in the radar and infrared ranges. This reduction in modern aircraft is achieved through the use of a special shape of the aircraft body, as well as specialized materials from which the aircraft itself is made.

For example, radio waves emitted by the RZK (Anti-aircraft missile system) sensor, reaching an air target, are reflected from the surface and received by the radar station. This is called radar signature.

Standard locators have a fixed or rotating plate, but the Chinese locator design resembles more a gun and accelerates electrons to almost the speed of light.

After the pulse passes through the winding tube, which is exposed to a strong magnetic field, the electrons begin to form a vortex of microwave radiation. And this vortex moves like a horizontal tornado.

So if the project of Chinese engineers is successfully completed, then the quantum radar station will be an order of magnitude more efficient than the previously created radar installations. True, there is still a lot of work to be done before a full-fledged experimental model.

During laboratory tests, scientists noted that literally every particle retained a spiraling momentum that did not decrease with time and distance. This provides such a clear theoretical advantage as no interference in poor weather conditions.

As Western experts emphasize, if Chinese engineers really manage to create a really working quantum radar, then the Celestial Empire will receive a serious advantage in the air space.

However, a publication such as Interesting Engineering notes that this is far from the first statement by Chinese representatives about the development of a fully functioning quantum radar. But at the same time, many experts around the world dispute the very possibility of creating similar detection devices.
