If you look at the numbers, in three years the channel "Carpentry at home" gained more than 40 thousand subscribers and during the same time only 279 readers were blocked. This number includes various ad bots, crazy people, haters and a few couch experts who behaved very aggressively and inappropriately.

Before expressing my point of view, I decided to look at how the Internet determines who the sofa experts are.

And now I will express my observations. This is my personal opinion based on personal observations.

3. When asked to clarify his statements and explain how it will be correct, he begins to say that everyone knows this anyway, without explanation.
4. To the remark that in practice everything works and works, the sofa expert usually reports that this cannot be and the author came up with everything, and that he (the sofa expert) has a huge experience... twenty years, and this experience says that the author is not right.
5. If you manage to drive such an expert into a dead end with questions, then he becomes personal and begins to appear extremely derogatory. At the same time, he exalts himself in every possible way, and humiliates or insults the opponent.

That is, absolutely no specifics, only loud statements, a lot of noise, a lot of unsubstantiated statements about vast experience and knowledge.

Wherein no need to call couch experts people who are really high-class specialists in some narrow field, have received a lot of attention and respect in their field and perhaps because of this they became overconfident and began to allow themselves to be criticized in other areas knowledge.

Concerning practitioners. In most of their statements, these people are very specific, they name exactly what, when and how they did or observed. Specifically, they say what they did and under what conditions.

Practitioners in the field of their knowledge and hobbies usually express an interest in other people's solutions.

They are ready to consider the point of view of another person and if they criticize, then again very specifically without general phrases.
